Two poems written at different times Oct/Nov 2008 have been combined to create this poem.

Loving you brings pain and joy
Painful memories, loving memories, beautiful memories

A fragile heart
to be taken care
with great care and attention

Dear love,

Don't be afraid to love me
For I will not hurt you
but embrace your love with an open heart
and love you even more

Don't be afraid to tell me your worries
For I will lend my ear and shoulder
and be there for you always

Don't be afraid to share with me
your intimate thoughts and fantasies
For I will listen with an open mind
I may agree, disagree or need time to think about it for a while
You'll never know what my answer may be
till you ask me

Don't be afraid to hurt me with the truth
For I will embrace it
with understanding and an open heart
Though I may be blinded by the truth or rage
In time
wisdom on the blessings
will clear the blindness within.

Don't be afraid to touch me
For I will embrace your soft touches and nurturing
Your desire is the aphrodisiac of the moment
that keeps my desires alive within

Don't be afraid to share your dreams, joy and sorrows
For I will support, rejoice and cry with you
and hold you close with support and understanding

Don't be afraid to approach me
for any thoughts that you may have
For I will give you my attention and empathy
whenever you need it

Remember dear
Don't be afraid
For I am here with an open mind and heart
with empathy, love, courage, patience, compassion and wisdom.
