Networking Etiquette and beyond

Recently, I listened to a tele-seminar by Ronnie Noize (Soho Marketing Guru) on Networking at ICA!
What she has shared in that seminar was so relevant to networking practices. Her wisdom shared - the experiences and strategies were powerful tools to carry with us as networkers.
I've networked quite a bit in my lifetime as well and some of the incidents that Ronnie had shared did hit home like dejavu. People network for many reasons and for their own personal reasons which may very well be VERY different from our perspectives.
I personally do stress on making connection. To me that is much richer and fulfilling than a "surface/fake" connection! And really we don't have to pressure ourselves in trying to make everyone love us! They don't need to! It's their right and so is our rights not liking them for whatever reasons that may not be resonating with who we really are and represent! Respecting one's differences is a jewel not a curse.
Networking can be really tricky and disempowering for some without the right mindset and tools to tackle the experiences you're going to face! Communication and Interpersonal skills - important tools to have in this globalized interaction that we do today. And the ability to SHIFT PERSPECTIVES fluidly like the river flowing through, over, under and along every obstacle it hits.
BE clear of your intentions for networking! Don't expect everyone to HAVE TO buy into what you are giving/sharing! Enjoy the experience of KNOWING and LEARNING from each moment of the experiences when you NETWORK! Networking can be fun when you let it be FUN and enjoyable! It's just a matter of shifting one's perspectives as each moment passes by. :)
What are your REAL intentions for networking?
Why do you network?
What is your Networking Style?
Does it compliment and resonate with who you are and what you represent?
Do you network to CONNECT or DISCONNECT?
How rich are your connections?
How sincere or insincere are your connections?
