Little Things MATTERS
It goes something like this....There was this married Indian man who was sitting next to my friend in the plane. They started talking and he shared with her that he travels a lot and he looks forward to traveling each time. You asked or wonder why someone would say that?! What happens is each time he travels, his wife would leave a special note in his suitcase for him to find and discover when he arrives at his destination. So, each time he travels, he looks forward to finding that special piece of loving note. How sweet and creative! And they've been married for more than 15 years and still practising that. This shows some men like good surprises, too.
The point to ponder is, how often do we do all these little things to maintain the flame of love alive through effort and creativity in an ever evolving relationship that works for both parties involved and that evolves or last through a lifetime? Of course each one of us will have our own special ways to shower such a thing. And in my opinion it's even more crucial when you're married, however it is also of importance in any serious/regular relationship.
Many of us once settled into a "routine", we tend to forget what made everything so exciting, special, sacred and new in the first place between us and our significant other! And people do change through time (without change, no growth and peace can take place within one's soul).
We humans are always evolving and it is important to change through time alongside with the "seasons" of our relationship as a whole and creating oneness with our loved ones. Yesterday is past and long gone, future is yet to come and you don't even know if the future will come for you tomorrow or not, so TODAY is only what we have. So, go on and try to discover that one or more things that work for both of you that helps keep your love alive. Have a curious mind and explore. Revive your love. Fall in love all over again and again and again each year. Make that a life commitment to the one you love and to each other.
