Be Watchful Or It'll Explode

Today I had an interesting silly experience that I thought was amusing. I had tried to heat up my cold hard boiled egg in the microwave. My intention was to just heat up for a few seconds, however while I was letting it run I started fiddling with something in the fridge and had forgotten about the egg momentarily. Next thing I know I heard an explosion! You can imagine the mess I had caused myself!

And yes, I felt quite silly at that very moment because I wasn't watchful of my actions. If I had watched over it, I would have had an egg to eat for breakfast and because of my carelessness, I ended with none and wasted one good egg. Stupid as it was, I just had to laugh at my own silliness and to be thankful that the only mess I had to clean up was just the many pieces of that one egg all splattered around the inside of the microwave oven.

This incident applies in our lives, too. Many of us are not watchful of our actions and we create a mess in our lives. Some minor and some major. Some we can laugh about or at and others are not funny at all. Sometimes those actions are harmful to us and at other times, they are harmful to us and others. Either way, they are a negative outcome.
